Childhood is the Kingdom Where Nobody Dies

Through tragedy we find ourselves and without it we would never know how strong we could be.

was anyone on livejournal during the Great Porn Blackout of 2007? when they deleted a bunch of Harry Potter erotic fanart, and everyone lost their shit?

I think that’s what’s going to happen if yahoo tries to get rid of porn on tumblr

the fandom blogs, the band blogs, the hipster blogs, the writing blogs

we will all come together and rise up

and post more porn than you could have ever imagined

Battlecry by Kelsy Simpson

Marching along silently
pale moonlight filtering
through the branches
highlighting the faint
glimmer of fear in
each of their deepset eyes.
Whispers of a language
long forgotten
riding on the wind
disappearing
the moment it reaches
its destination.
They creep toward
a clearing, cautious
becoming the edge of
darkness
their hands trembling
in search of the deathsticks
hiding in their quiver.
They see the enemy
praying to a God
for the destruction
of an entire people
for no reason other
than fear.
Surprise attack,
pale moonlight
highlighting
the trail of tears
 sliding down the highset cheekbones.
Battle cries fill the night
begging for forgiveness
unable to honor the enemy
before they become part
of Mother Earth.

WELP.

Stop what you are doing.
Read those.
Right now.
I’ll wait.
If you don’t want to read, I’ll explain the key bullet points, but please read them afterwords:
This is not “we didn’t protect him enough.”
This is not “the government screwed up some random detail or accidentally let his killer loose.”
The 111th Military Intelligence had a team taking pictures of his balcony during the assassination.
They brought in a Special Forces 8-Man Sniper Team from the 20th.
Memphis Police withdrew their regular protection detail from him.
A jury of 12 people, six black and six white, found the United States Government guilty of conspiracy to commit murder.
YOUR GOVERNMENT. MY GOVERNMENT. THE GOVERNMENT OF, BY, AND FOR THE PEOPLE, SHOT AND KILLED DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING. And the media never reported the case.
MLK was ASSASSINATED. By a government YOU PAY FOR.
I hate those posts where someone tries to pressure you into reblogging. I almost never ask you to reblog.
This shit is important.
Reblog this. I don’t care what kind of blog you have. I don’t care what you normally talk about.
Reblog this.

Oh my fucking god.

The Danish 1.54-metre telescope located at ESO’s La Silla Observatory in Chile has captured a striking image of NGC 6559, an object that showcases the anarchy that reigns when stars form inside an interstellar cloud.
The gas in the clouds of NGC 6559, mainly hydrogen, is the raw material for star formation. When a region inside this nebula gathers enough matter, it starts to collapse under its own gravity. The centre of the cloud grows ever denser and hotter, until thermonuclear fusion begins and a star is born. The hydrogen atoms combine to form helium atoms, releasing energy that makes the star shine.
